Eric's love of music started with his fascination with remixes of Top 40 songs he heard growing up while listening to John Garabedian's nationally syndicated Open House Party radio show every Saturday and Sunday night. This led Eric to begin creating his own remixes and megamixes (around age 10) using nothing more than a dual cassette deck and listening for pieces of songs to be played on the radio that he needed for his mix. As a teen, Eric received training with Vermont's Rolling Music Review, a mobile DJ service owned and run by a family friend; Pete Wildey. The events Eric played over the next several years allowed him to build and refine his ability to read his crowds and program his sets accordingly.
Eric officially caught the DJ "bug" one weekend playing music for a couple of hundred kids that were in town from New Jersey for a school/band conference. He was to DJ for the kids on Friday night, and then on Saturday night he was to DJ only during the breaks that the hired band would take. The Friday night event went off without a hitch, and everyone had a blast. On Saturday, Eric was set up and ready to go, off stage to the left of the band. The band started their first set, and during their second song, some equipment blew and they lost their sound. While Eric gave them a few minutes to see if they could get back up and running, a soft chant started within the crowd until it grew and grew to a thunderous chant: "d-j.... d-j.... dj... dj... Dj.... Dj.... DJ.... DJ!!... DJ!!!!" Eric turned on his amplifier which sent a buzz through the speakers which sent the crowd WILD! That was it! Eric was hooked and has been chasing (and gotten that electrifying feeling) countless times ever since that night.
Attending Lyndon State College (now Northern Vermont University at Lyndon), Eric roomed with Boston's own DJ Wild Bill, where Eric learned to beatmix records while practicing on Bill's industry standard Technics SL-1200MK2 turntables. A spirited member of his college radio station WWLR, Eric continued to hone and perfect his mixing skills on his extremely popular and remix-heavy weekend shows Serious Beats and Party Radio, occasionally performing live mashups before they became so popular a decade later. During this time, you could find Eric and Bill throwing free dance parties around campus and in the always standing room only Club 210.
Since then, Eric has had worldwide audiences while spinning live on the internet on btownsound.com, his own SHOUTcast.com internet radio show as well as on Twitch. A spirited member of the community, Eric has volunteered to provide audio services to organizations such as the Boy Scouts and JMMY Center.
These days, Eric can be found DJing private events as well as public (see Calendar), including several events as a preferred audio/music vendor through a partnership with the Vermont Production Group; a group of individuals, businesses, and organizations (based in Vermont) working in collaboration to successfully achieve the production goals of its clients through a diverse array of services and resources.
